Mic-Locks
Their “Mic-Lock” products plug into your phone, or laptop, and mute the device by becoming the new source for audio.
The Mic-Lock product sends a “null” signal into the device and thus the device doesn’t listen to anything else going on around it. The product, once plugged in, becomes the default audio source and microphone as far as the device is concerned.
If you need to make or take a phone call, you can either:
- flip the call to speaker phone
- flip the call to your bluetooth headset or the bluetooth in your car
- use a wired headset connected to your phone to take the call or
- remove the product and talk normally
Although this doesn’t solve the major problem of the iOS/MacOS=Apple, Google Android=Google, Windows=Microsoft operating systems monitoring and recording everything else you are doing on your device, it serves as a nice band-aid and stopgap until you’re ready to transition to a more sovereign focused operating system such as GrapheneOS (as found in our Ghost Phones and Tablets) or Linux (as found in our Ghost Laptops).
