Find Your Tribe

find your tribe

The response to last week’s post about culture and community was unlike anything I expected. Dozens of you reached out from across the country. Some shared stories. Nearly all asked some version of the same question, “can you help me find my people?”

So let me give you some answers. Real ones, but ones that require you to actually do something.

“Ask, and it shall be given to you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.” – Matthew 7:7-8

Notice this passage does not say wait or that someone will come find you. It says Ask. Seek. Knock.

Three verbs. All of them yours to do and yours alone.

Point being that the Lord will make it obvious, especially if you explicitly ask him to… but you have to start moving.

The people most likely to share your values are already organized around the things they care about most. You simply need to find them. Look for those who are prepping, homesteading, homeschooling, fighting for their 1st and 2nd Amendment rights, or gathering around their faith. These communities are not hiding.

They are waiting for people exactly like you to show up.

Prepping and Self-Reliance

These communities understand that depending on broken systems is not a plan. If you are not already connected to your local prepper network, start now.

Homesteading

Some of the most grounded, self-sufficient, faith-rooted people in this country are homesteaders. Find them.

Homeschooling

If you homeschool or are considering it, your local co-op is one of the richest tribe-finding environments that exists. These families are already opting out of the system on purpose. They also likely could use volunteers to help teach!

2nd Amendment

Those who take their right to self-defense seriously tend to take every other freedom seriously too. Find your local chapter, show up at the range, get involved.

1st Amendment and Free Speech

The fight for free expression and the fight for digital privacy are the same fight with different weapons.

A Word about Churches

I want to address this one carefully, because it matters and because I have seen it disappoint a lot of people who were genuinely searching.

Not every pastor is paying attention to what is happening in the world. Not every church is going to be a gathering place for people who are actively reclaiming their lives from surveillance systems, globalist institutions, and the slow creep of a culture that has nothing good in store for your family. Some are. Many are not.

Showing up to your local church and expecting to find a room full of people who share these convictions is a fast path to discouragement.

Unfortunately, there are a lot of lukewarm Christians in American churches right now. People who talk the talk on Sunday and spend the rest of the week fully plugged into every system and institution we are trying to help people escape from. This is exactly why we focus on those who are actually doing the hard things – changing their lifestyle, opting out, building something different on purpose.

That said, some churches absolutely get it. In my travels across this country over the past twenty years, I have found that certain communities are far more likely to harbor the kind of serious, convicted, action-oriented believers you are looking for.

Pay attention to churches that are Christian Orthodox, those that practice the Traditional Latin Mass, Eastern Catholic congregations, and perhaps most tellingly – any pastor of any denomination who kept his doors open throughout COVID without apology, despite the pressure, the backlash, and in some cases the legal threats.

If a church was still worshiping together in person through all of that, you are almost guaranteed to find a community of people inside those walls who are not interested in doing whatever the world tells them to do. That is the tell. As I said last week, you will know it when you see it.

Ask around. Visit. Introduce yourself. Tell them what you are looking for. People who have already made hard choices are rarely surprised when someone else shows up looking for the same thing.

What we are Building

The response to last week’s post confirmed something we have been sensing for a while. People do not just want tools and resources. They want a local, organized, recurring point of connection with others who are serious about digital privacy and sovereignty, specifically.

Not just reading about it. Doing something about it.

Hence, we are launching Ghost Teams.

A Ghost Team is a monthly local gathering originally organized by MARK37, designed to bring together people in your area who are actively working to reclaim their digital lives. We will serve as the spark and initial hub. We will provide the resources, the training, the tools, and when appropriate, the connection to our broader national ecosystem. You show up, engage, and help grow something real in your own backyard.

If you want to be part of building a Ghost Team in your area, fill out the form below. Tell us where you are and what you are already doing.

Our “Sovereign Security Synergist”, Caleb Collier, is fired up to work with those of you who want to take action. To get a taste for Caleb, you can check him out over at his nationally syndicated show “Church and State“.

Ask. Seek. Knock.

The door is open. Walk through it.
